О КУРСЕ
Course master: Herman Grott, contemporary artist, practicing set designer, puppeteer, illustrator, author of more than 30 performances, director of two films, winner of awards in the field of scenography and modern theater, participant in several polar expeditions.
By the end of the course, every entrant:
HAS:
The skills to work with space and objects in the parameters specified by the director's terms of reference. Has an idea of the interaction of departments and services in the production and on set.
IS ABLE:
To independently solve the tasks of organizing space in the artistic design of the environment in which the event takes place.
KNOWS:
The basics of composition, drawing as a method of conveying the constructive construction of the environment and the object.
HAS AN IDEA:
About cultural heritage and current developing trends in the industry.
ПРОГРАММА
1st day ( 2 hours)
Familiarization and consolidation of topics for study for each student. In the future, individual lessons with each student and group meetings are meant to work out the chosen topic for each lesson. Students can join in pairs or in a group to conduct a single project topic.
2nd day (4 hours)
The first lesson is on the basics of composition, drawing, color science and perspective. The designation of the artist's role in the process of staging a play, film, event-event. The analysis is based on examples of successful and not so successful and non-successful works by masters of different times, trends and styles. Issuing tasks to be completed at home.
3rd day (3 hours)
The choice of a topic for further development by each student or group.
Analysis of completed tasks. Practical lessons with a master on the basics of space composition. Assignment to the house.
4th day (3 hours)
Analysis of the material selected for development as a text visualization exercise, search for an image of the work. Search for media for the implementation of the final project. Practical drawing lessons. Assignment for further work at home.
5th day (4 hours)
Continued development of the material, clarifications and further search. Practical exercises
Sketching on the plein air street.
6th day (4 hours)
Access to the development of a timeline during the implementation of the design project of the work. Working with the master. Assignment to the house. Deepening the study of the subject, working with references. Trips to museums and venues to study classic successful examples of problem - solving and further immersion in the profession.
7th day (3 hours)
Continuation of work on the selected material for the thesis, sketching in the open air and interior, discussion of what has been done. Details of the selected direction for the final exam.
8th day (4 hours)
The student's preliminary defense of the final project in front of fellow students.
Analysis of the work done. Based on the result of the analysis of the project implementation stage, the assignment is issued to finalize the project for final submission.
9th day (4 hours)
A colloquium of teachers from different departments of the CINEBUDDY school and a final exam. Students defend their work and, if successful, receive a symbolic certificate
